 The
High Road Retreat is approximately 5-10 minutes drive from the village
of Schull, situated on a hill-top overlooking a small valley with
panoramic views stretching into the next county. It stands in its own
grounds with a landscaped garden and sheltered patio area.
The house itself was
beautifully renovated and extended, and now features one double bedroom
with en-suite shower room, two further bedrooms with twin beds in each,
and a main bathroom/shower. All bedrooms are carpeted and pine
furnished. A cot, bed linen, and a selection of towels are supplied as
standard. |
 Downstairs
there is a fully fitted kitchen and utility room - with washer/dryer,
microwave, dishwasher, cooker, fridge, and breakfast bar.
The TV room off the
kitchen has an open-stone fireplace, oak floor, TV (including free
satellite channels, e.g. BBC, ITV), and is furnished
with antique pine and brightly covered sofas. The bookshelves are
stocked with books and few family games just in case you decide to stay
in for the evening! |
 There
is plenty of comfortable seating throughout the house with five sofas
distributed between TV room, Sitting room, and Conservatory. The TV room
leads down to the nicely furnished Conservatory, with panoramic views of
the surrounding countryside - a great place for a relaxing breakfast!
The patio area outside is ideal for BBQ's. |
 The
dining room and sitting room are separated by double pine doors which
can be opened out as shown in the picture. Both rooms have solid oak
flooring. The sitting room has an open slate fireplace, two sofas,
rocking chair, and CD player. The dining room seats eight and is
furnished with Pine dresser, table and chairs. A baby's high chair is
also provided. |
